Starr's childhood bestfriend died in a shooting at the hands of a racist police officer for holding a hair brush which was mistaken for a gun because his color and while starr struggles to hid the fact that she's from that neighborhood because she goes to a wealthy private school and doesn't want people to knoe where she lives because she thunks people would judge her, her friends don't even know but find out after she testifys on camera cause she was a victim of the murder
I think this is an amazing movie because to me 'The Hate U Give' was not only the hardship of being black but it was the hardship we face as humans in society, this movie is a message that shows the way people react towards black people and that racism will keep going on

Stephaine who is a single mother and works as a vlogger that bakes and makes homemaking hacks in connecticut, meets emily her sons besfriend mom. Emily has everything a successful carreer and looks perfect to stephaine because she looks like she has it all together and when they were just starting to get close emily disappears and stephaine looks into her deeper and starts a investigation on her friends past and figures out a lot of things about her friend like her dark past, lies and secrets
this movie was confusing at first but starts to make more sense as you watch but overall i think its a intresting movie it had a great beginning and a lot of plot twists which i liked the most about the movie and i really like thillers and dramas so it was a fun movie
